about

This song is about Freedom, New Hampshire where my family runs a summer camp, Cragged Mountain Farm(CMF). My great grandfather started the camp in 1927 to get children out of the city into the fresh air of the White Mountains mainly to hike and canoe in the wilderness which we still do to this day. I grew up singing in school and at camp and it was during the summer of 2011 that I learned to play guitar at CMF. I am eternally grateful to the many musicians who came before me and played music in the playhouse at CMF. This song is dedicated to them and their inspiration.

lyrics

It's the days like these
Wind blowin through the trees
Brings me to my knees
Beggin please oh please

Chorus:
Leave me here in freedom
Where I can't commit no crime
Playing music all night long
I wanna lose track of time

Tripping over mountains and seas
Community service or small fees
Nature boomer wiped with leaves
Oh the peace oh the peace

Chorus

These are the days to seize
In the meadow taking my ease
Slippery pickle full of birds and the bees
Lost my shorts and I'm feeling the breeze

Chorus

about

Decaying Matters Freedom, New Hampshire

Decay Matters is committed to transmuting the rotting shit of life into creative gold through authentic attending to the process, art and pain of being alive. Much like compost, this produces fertile soil for continued growth and delicious fruits, through our shared labor of love, that is the joy of conciousness.

To clarify, I am full of rotting shit and soul composting is infinite permaculture.
